Discover, Learn, and Grow in Nature
At Crown Point Ecology Center, we believe that every child thrives when learning is rooted in nature. Our youth programs combine hands-on experiences, farm-based learning, and exploration of the natural world to spark curiosity, build community, and nurture a lifelong love for the Earth.
No matter which program you choose, your child will:
Explore the farm and meet the animals
Connect with nature through guided activities
Learn about food, sustainability, and ecology
Create lasting memories in a safe, welcoming environment
Backyard Chickens 101
Children 8+ welcome with a guardian or caregiver

We’ll explore breeds, coops, feeding, flock health, and predator protection—plus give you a chance to meet our chickens and see how we care for them at Crown Point.
You’ll head home with practical knowledge, confidence, and a clear path for starting your own backyard flock—and enjoying the reward of farm-fresh eggs.
