What kind of day is this?
Crown Point is a real, working organic farm and ecology center which means the ground can be muddy, the animals are farm animals (not always visible or ready for petting), and the pace is slower than a typical family outing. That's the whole point.
Come in shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring water, and feel free to bring your leashed dog — pets are welcome on our trails. Cast a line in the pond if you enjoy fishing (catch and release only — no swimming), settle onto a bench to watch for birds, or simply walk. Expect quiet more than noise, and space more than spectacle.

The Meditation Garden, Wind Phone & Labyrinth
Some places at Crown Point aren't for exploring — they're for slowing down. Our Meditation Garden offers a quiet space to sit, breathe, and be present. Walking our labyrinth — a single winding path with no dead ends and no wrong turns — is a practice used for centuries to quiet the mind and walk through a question, a worry, or a grief.
Our Wind Phone is an old telephone, disconnected from any line, where visitors can speak aloud to someone they've lost. The idea began in Japan in 2010, when a grieving man built one in his garden so his words could be carried on the wind instead of going unspoken.
There's no instruction book and no wrong way to use it. Some come with words for someone they've lost. Others come simply to sit with the quiet. Both are welcome here.

What should I know before I visit?
- Open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year — no reservation required.
- This is a working farm — please stay on marked trails and out of animal enclosures unless accompanied by a guide.
- Please don't pick flowers or harvest crops.
- Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome on our trails.
- Fishing is welcome at our pond — catch and release only. No swimming.
- Camp and field-trip groups may be using certain areas — please be respectful of their space.
