Growing food, growing farmers, growing community.
Regeneratively and organically, on 12 acres in the heart of our 115-acre preserve in Akron, Ohio.
Why we farm
Our Mission
To demonstrate the practical applications of ecology, and to connect spirituality, social justice, and environmental protection.
Our Vision
To be a role model for food security and sustainable land use — through farm stewardship, advocacy, education, and collaboration.
Our Core Values
Four values meet in everything Crown Point does — Community, Justice, Spirituality, and Sustainability.
The farm at a glance

USDA certified organic since 1994, on land farmed continuously since 1854. Of our 115-acre preserve, 7 acres are actively farmed, with another 5 acres as a part of our Vulnerable Voice partnership. We build soil health with compost, leaf mulch, and poultry manure instead of synthetic fertilizers — farming with less machinery and more hands.

One of the longest-running CSA programs in Northeast Ohio, serving 120 families a year — plus our on-site Farm Stand and a presence at the Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market.

For more than 35 years our fields have been a place of hands-on learning, including a research partnership with the University of Akron. Our Regenerative Farmer Training Program gives four paid trainees each season an eight-month, full-time education in regenerative growing and farm leadership.

Crown Point is proud to host Vulnerable Voices, supporting more than 50 refugee families farming 5 certified-organic acres of their own. Our trails, land, and picnic areas are open to the public, free of charge, year-round.

Crown Point isn't just a farm to visit — it's a farm to join. Rent one of 8 Community Garden plots (14 ft for $75, or 7 ft for $40), April through October, with pricing structured to support reduced-cost access for others. Watch our calendar for the annual Seed Swap and Spring Plant Sale.
