General Conduct on the Land 6 items
Pets
Leashed pets are welcome on the trails and at most outdoor events. Always clean up after your pet.
Stay on Marked Paths
This is a working farm and active ecological preserve — please stay on trails and out of planted fields unless a program specifically invites you in.
Animals & Farm Health Basics
Don't feed or approach farm animals without staff present, and wash hands after any animal contact. Pregnant visitors should use extra caution around livestock. See Animal Care & Education. Respectful Behavior
Crown Point is a place for everyone to enjoy. Disruptive, unsafe, or offensive behavior may result in being asked to leave, without a refund for any paid program.
Children
Inside the production farm fenceline, children must be supervised at all times — see Farm & Production Area Safety.
Photography
By attending an event at Crown Point, you consent to being photographed for promotional use.
Safety & Terrain 4 items
Hours & Closures
Grounds are open dawn to dusk most days, closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. See Hours & Directions for how closures are announced.
Terrain
Grass and natural ground throughout — not paved, and not ADA accessible in the formal sense, though much of the property is relatively flat. Wear closed-toe shoes.
Labyrinth & Wooded Trails
Long pants and closed-toe shoes recommended, especially for poison ivy and tick exposure. See Meditation Garden, Wind Phone & Labyrinth.
Weather
Most outdoor programs run rain or shine; a few (like hayrides) are explicitly weather-dependent. Each event page states its own policy.
Farm & Production Area Safety 5 categories
General Health & Safety Concerns
- Visitors experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or flu-like symptoms may not enter production areas.
- Handwashing is required before entering any food-contact areas.
- No smoking, vaping, eating, or drinking in production areas, wash/pack, or greenhouses.
- Hand sanitizer is not a substitute for proper handwashing.
Inside the Production Farm Fenceline
- No pets are allowed inside the farm fence line.
- Visitors must wear closed-toe shoes.
- Visitors may not touch crops within the production areas.
- Any broken glass, spills, or contamination concerns must be reported immediately.
- Visitors must stay on designated pathways and avoid stepping into crop beds.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
Equipment & Tool Safety
- Visitors may not operate tractors, implements, or sharp tools without authorization from Crown Point staff.
- Visitors must maintain a safe distance from moving equipment.
- Visitors cannot climb, sit, or lean on equipment, tables, or tools.
Petting Zoo
- Petting zoo animals may only be handled under staff supervision.
- Handwashing is mandatory after animal contact.
- After visiting the petting zoo, visitors must wash hands at designated stations.
- Hand sanitizer is not a substitute for proper handwashing.
Emergency & Behavior Expectations
- Follow all staff instructions promptly.
- Report injuries, unsafe behavior, or hazards immediately.
- In an emergency, follow staff to the designated meeting point.
Events & Tickets 4 items
Age Restrictions Vary by Event
Some events are 21+ (Dead at Harvest), some have a program-specific age minimum (Backyard Chickens 101, ages 7+), and most are all-ages. Always check the specific event page.
Alcohol
Alcohol service varies by event — some are BYOB, some have a licensed bar, some don't serve alcohol at all. Check the specific event page.
Refunds & Cancellations
Terms vary by program — each ticketed event states its own policy on its event page. If you don't see one, contact us directly before assuming either way.
Registration for Free Events
Many free programs ask for advance registration to help estimate attendance — a courtesy, not a requirement, unless a specific event states otherwise.

General terrain is covered above (grass, mostly flat, not formally ADA accessible). Some events, like the All Abilities Fall Fest, offer specific accommodations — accessible restrooms, accessible parking, and more. Check the specific event page for what's actually available.
