Cock-a-doodle-doo! Start your morning with the rooster.

Step into the rhythm of farm life at Crown Point. Families roll up their sleeves on select Saturday mornings this summer and help with real farm chores while the farm wakes up around them — not a demonstration, not a petting zoo, a chance to actually participate.

Hands-on

What families do.

Activities vary session to session, based on what the farm actually needs that morning.

Feed animals and refresh their water
Collect and wash eggs
Lend a hand in the garden
Learn how daily care supports healthy animals, food, and ecosystems

Not a demonstration. Not a petting zoo.

This program is designed to be welcoming, active, and age-appropriate for children and caregivers alike. It's a chance to participate meaningfully, ask questions, and build confidence through doing — real chores, not a performance.

What to wear

Closed-toe shoes, clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and a farmer hat if you've got one — this is a working morning on a working farm.

Because activities depend on what the farm actually needs that morning, no two sessions are quite the same — feed animals one week, help in the garden the next. Families are welcome to come back for more than one date this summer and get a genuinely different morning each time.
