Farm · Plant Sale & Seed Swap

Two ways to start your garden on Crown Point's own seed — one free, one 21 years running.

The Seed Swap in March and the Spring Plant Sale in May aren't the same event — one's a free community trade, the other's a 21-year retail tradition — but both start your growing season on certified organic ground.

Spring Plant Sale

May 6–9, 2027 (Members: May 6)
Certified organic plants for sale · 200+ varieties

Native perennials, heirloom and hybrid vegetables, culinary herbs, and organic gardening supplies — seeded and grown on-site.

Free · Family-friendly

The Seed Swap.

Free, family-friendly, and open to anyone — you don't need to bring anything to attend.

Bringing seeds is not required for attending the Seed Swap.
If you bring something hand-collected to swap, please label it with any important information — plant type, preferred growing conditions, and the age of the seeds.
Pre-packaged seeds are welcome at the Seed Swap.
Seeds will be separated by family during the event so guests can easily identify seed types.
We ask that guests take only what they will grow — envelopes are available for taking smaller portions.
This is a family-friendly event, with activities for kids in attendance.

Why this matters beyond a free afternoon

Seed swapping keeps genetic diversity and heirloom varieties alive in ways a seed catalog can't — every hand-collected seed carries a growing history specific to the person who saved it. It's a small, direct expression of the Sustainability core value: growing capacity that isn't dependent on any one company or catalog.
