Introducing Ian Roberts, Executive Director at Crown Point Ecology Center

This spring, Crown Point Ecology Center appointed Ian Roberts as its Executive Director. With over two decades of nonprofit leadership experience in outdoor recreation, environmental education, and nonprofit management Ian comes to Crown Point ready to guide the organization into its next era of impact.

Ian earned his degree in Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education from Brevard College, where his passion for connecting people to nature took root. He is deeply committed to inclusive access to the outdoors and has a proven track record of engaging diverse populations through mission-driven initiatives.

A seasoned executive, Ian has led transformative growth at organizations across the country, including Camp Ho Mita Koda and Avid4 Adventure, launching innovative programs, and strengthening community partnerships.

His dynamic leadership style and lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship position him to guide Crown Point into its next era of impact—advancing its work in sustainable agriculture, food justice, and experiential education.  

A resident of Brecksville, Ohio, Ian shares a home with his wife, Stephanie, their children Kaya and River, two dogs, a thriving backyard apiary, organic gardens, and a lively flock of chickens and ducks.
